Headed to rotterdam for the Premier League Darts with Vinny & Rijkels. Didn’t enjoy this as much as the World Championship, everyone wanted to stand of tables and chairs and you couldn’t see anything.
I also injured Rijkels quite badly… oops
James Wade 7-3 Jelle Klaasen
Peter Wright 7-4 Dave Chisnall
Raymond van Barneveld 7-2 Gary Anderson
Kim Huybrechts 3-7 Adrian Lewis
Phil Taylor 4-7 Michael van Gerwen
A few days after the fiasco of Frankfurt and it’s time to head to Amsterdam and one of the best venues in Europe. I was really hopeful that the band would be back on form following what happened on Friday and they were. A great show all round with fantastic support from The Pearl Hearts.
Rijsoord 5 – 1 SHO
I saw Spijkenisse win on the Saturday which meant that SHO had to win this game for any chance to win the league.
The entire Spijkenisse squad turned up to watch Rijsoord destroy their only challengers to the league title. Spijkenisse were humble in their victory by cheering every goal, letting off fireworks and doing a conga around the pitch throughout the game 🙂
Report: voetbalrotterdam.nl [Dutch]
Was meant to do drinks after with Kristina and Simon but Rijkels was too off his face to join following some heavy drinking in Amsterdam watching football. We headed back to Rotterdam instead.
No ticket for this one was on the guest list via Ronald and Nick. Interesting small venue in a small town in the far north of The Netherlands.

Feyenoord 5 – 1 FC Groninge
At the start of the match Michel told me that Wijnaldum was rubbish… He went on to score four. Apparently Liverpool are looking at him, on this evidence you would buy him but it would seem that this was a one off as he has had a very on/off season with more offs than ons.
Who doesn’t seem to be that bad is Ryo Miyaichi, sadly he is already under contract at Arsenal and only on loan at Feyenoord because of work permit issues.
Ryo will eventually get his permit and if he can transfer this talent from the Eredivisie to the English game then he will be a star of the Premiership in a few years time that’s for sure.

By not attending Willem II v Heerenveen it did allow me to attend a totally unplanned gig at the wonderful Rowtown in Rotterdam. The gig itself wasn’t really my cup of tea so to speak but the locals seemed into it at least.
